Aberfoyle Hub R-7
School, located 20km from Adelaide CBD, strives for excellence,
fosters creativity and provides broad learning experiences.
Collaboration and adhering to the values of respect, relationships
and responsibility underpin all that we do.
The school has a
significant emphasis on Reception to Year 7 literacy and
numeracy programs which are complemented by music, Spanish and sustainability programs. All classrooms and the computer suite are
linked to the internet. Other
special features include
interactive white boards, access to laptops, and a multimedia hub.
We have an extension and enrichment program for gifted and
talented students. A wide variety of extra curricular opportunities
is provided including Pedal Prix, Festival of Music, Tournament of
Minds, Jump Rope for Heart, out of school sports and choirs. The
local community has a strong input with an active governing council
which takes a key role in fundraising, oversight of grounds and
facilities, staffing the canteen, and policy development and review.
The school encourages the involvement of parents and caregivers in
all classroom programs and resource centre and extra curricular
activities.
