Out of School Sport

Our after school sports teams rely on family involvement to operate and we are very lucky to have this group of dedicated families. The Out of School Sport’s programme is run by the Governing Council’s Sports sub-Committee. Parents/volunteers are required to coordinate, coach and manage teams.

We field many teams in competitive sports such as cricket, basketball, soccer, football and netball in after school competitions involving almost half our students in Years 3-7. These sports are played on Saturday mornings with the exception of Basketball which is played after school during the week.

There is a registration fee for each sport per child which covers the cost of team registration, repair/replacement/maintenance of grounds/uniforms/equipment and trophies at the presentation.

A Presentation night is held at the end of each sporting season where students are presented with a trophy to help celebrate the season.

We also offer non-competitive sports such as “Have a go”, “Kanga” Cricket and “AusKick” football for boys and girls from Reception to Year 2 to develop skills and encourage participation in appropriate sporting activity for their age.

Registration of Winter and Summer sports are advertised through the newsletter at the beginning of each year.
